*Brag Box*

This is my Brag Box.
Here I will showcase designs that I am especially proud of!
They are typically collages and designs that I spend many hours creating to my own idea of perfection within the realm of what I do. I will literally work on these things for days sometimes, fixing it until it looks just right! But I love what I do. Even when I'm ready to pull out my eyeballs because "something just doesn't seem right!", I am so grateful for the opportunity to do what I love for a living! Being a self taught digital artist isn't out of reach for anyone! It takes a lot of work, plenty of studying and understanding digital creation, and most of all, Dedication!
So here they are...
A Few of My Favorite Things (with the most recent updates added to the top of the list)

Here's something I had a lot of fun doing! My son, myself, and my mother all had such a great time flying a kites as spring broke in this year! While the camera on my phone isn't that great with moving targets I was still able to get some really clean edges using the lasso select in gimp to create this fantastic silhouette of Kade flying his kite!

This is actually my first attempt at a silhouette like this from one of my own photos so I was super happy with the way it turned out. It really tickled my son as well! I ended up using this to make a "Happy Birthday" card because it just seemed fitting. And I may use it on a few other things as well.

😍I made a post on my personal facebook and asked friends what they'd like to see on a Binder. I got some great suggestions for "Luna Moth", "Lucifer", and "Nigredo". Here's what I came up with:

I started with the Luna Moth design which I was pleasantly surprised with by the time it was finished! I wasn't sure how these colors were going to work together, and it seems they work well. Then I worked on a new Lucifer design for a dear friend of mine. Most of the ideas I've had for a new Sigil of Lucifer all turn out so girly! haha! But I wanted to do something different for him that would also capture my idea of what might suite him personally. So I went with a dark watercolor wash texture and Gold, adding in a watercolor serpent entwined with the sigil. I think it came out pretty good! Now I was somewhat disappointed with the Nigredo design that I worked on for another friend of mine. I worked for 6 hours, playing with different ideas and I plan to post many of those as well in the Cosmic Crow Shop. However... I found a lot of what I was attempting was just too busy and frustrating to look at as an art piece, so I ended up stripping it to what you see here. I'm still working on something that she will love and may take a darker approach at the next attempt. I still think, overall, it's an attractive design with accurate symbolism.

This video is by far one of the coolest I've made (and I've made a lot lol) But I was super proud of this one. It was made with a combination of free tools such as VSDC Free Video Editor and GIMP image editor. I really want to do a post on these particular tools for artists and Zazzle Designers because they are completely amazing and FREE! I'll get there eventually, but for now I just wanted to share my latest creation! IT'S ALIVE! HA

Beltane Bash Floral Spring Plaid Invitation
Oh I worked on this thing forever it seems! 😂 But the end result was definitely worth it! There are literally ZERO invitations for Beltane Celebrations! So this was something I was really looking forward to creating, because I try to come up with original designs for those things that are really needed in the marketplace. Go check it out HERE

Blessed Beltane Greeting Card

This Beltane Greeting design is absolutely one of my favorites! I love creating watercolor imagery, but don't let my creations fool you! I do purchase many elements that I altar and use. I also use CC0 and Public Domain images to incorporate into my designs. The woman holding the bull skull is a CC0 image and she came from a photograph! And this is why I feel proud of the work I've done with her. It took a lot of work, figuring things out and learning layered "watercolor" digital technique to transform her into an element that fits perfectly into a watercolor scene. This design is also available on tank tops, wooden signs, notebooks, temporary tattoos, and more! Check it Out here in the Beltane Celebrations Collection!

Ok! This one gave me a bit of a fuss but I eventually figured out how to balance the image and colors out just right. I had been creating Handfasting and Wedding invitations in my new Otherworld Invites store. Invitations are relatively new territory for me at this point, but I'm getting the hang of it! I wanted to create a magickal "Ode to Traditional Handfastings" set and I think it turned out quite well. I chose to use the broom for it's traditional use in handfastings, as the bride and groom jump over the broom to ensure fertility, good fortune, and luck while still bound to one another. Once I had finally finished the designs for this set and started putting them on products, I was SO pleased at how they look! Check out the "Dusty Green & Pink Wooden Broom & Pentacle Handfasting Collection" to see what I was able to come up with!

Spring Equinox/Ostara Designs

Here are some fantastic Spring designs! I don't know what it is about the watercolor look that fascinates me! Even though I am not a watercolor artist, there's something so satisfying about creating collages with watercolor textures and elements. I'm particularly proud of the 2 ladies (one in a pink dress and the other in a green flowing dress). The Flower Maiden with a floral bunny mask on one was a vampire with blood dripping from her lips! Yes! 😂 It was a gorgeous gothic creation by a very talented watercolor artist from whom I purchased the set. I then proceeded to butcher it! hahaha! But I'm very proud of what I learned in the process. The lady in the green set was a CC0 winter woman design. I used beautiful green leaf illustrations to create a flowing dress that literally took me nearly 5 days to complete. 😂 But it was time well spent! You can find all of these designs in the Spring Equinox/Ostara Collection.

Well that's it for now. No doubt there will be more in the future!
